Abandon All Ships are a Canadian electronic rock band from Toronto, Ontario that formed back in 2006 by Angelo Aita, Sebastian Cassisi-Nunez and David Stephens while attending Dante Alighieri Catholic Secondary School. The band was the first artist signed to Velocity Records in early 2010 and later that year released their debut studio album, Geeving. The band has since released two more albums through Velocity Records, Infamous in 2012 and Malocchio in 2014. The band has gone through many line-up changes since its inception with only two original members remaining in the band; vocalist Angelo Aita and keyboardist Sebastian Cassisi-Nunez.

Formation and Television Show Appearance (2006-2009)Edit

Abandon All Ships was founded in 2006  Dante Alighieri Catholic Secondary students Angelo Aita, Sebastian Cassisi-Nunez, and David Stephens when they began booking gigs covering Norma Jean songs. After booking playing a few shows and attracting some buzz in the local toronto scene they added Martin Broda on drums and Francesco Pallotta on bass filling out the bands' lineup. In 2007 the band added Nick Fiorini to the band as a second guitarist and then began work on recording demoes. By 2008, the band released four demo songs online, which were "Megawacko", "When Dreams Become Nightmares", "Brendon's Song" and "Pedestrians Is Another Word for Speedbump". By the end of 2008 Nick Fiorini had departed the band and Andrew Paiano had replaced him on guitar.

In 2009, bassist Francesco Pallotta decided to depart from the band and drummer Martin moved his position on bass and the band welcomed in Andrew's brother Daniel as the band new drummer. Abandon All Ships would later appear on MuchMusic's reality music program, disBAND, where they performed their song, "Megawacko". After appearing on disBAND and gaining more popularity through their MySpace the band proceeded to release their self-titled extended play on July 17, 2009.

Signing to Velocity and Geeving (2010-Edit

On February 24, 2010 Rise Records' new subsidy Velocity Records announced that they had signed Abandon All Ships to their newly founded record label also announcing that the band has recorded a full-length though with no tentative release date but will be touring with A Skylit Drive, I Set My Friends On Fire and Tides of Man through May and June.[Abandon All Ships References 1]
